“I and scores of others were abducted in the early hours of Monday 9th September 2019 by the Cameroon Army at mile 17 motor park.

We were tortured like criminals. We were later locked in a toilet-like room. ( over 60 persons). The pain is too much.”

Samgwa runs samgwanews.com a news website which has often reported on the current Anglophone crisis as well as entertainment and has been vocal on the crisis.

His freedom has come with much relief to many who looked up to his news and entertainment updates.

Samgwa is not the first to have been tortured. Other detainees have always complained they were tortured or subjected to difficult situations in the hands of the military.
