UBa Student Journalist Kidnapped

Njodzeka Claudia, a communication and development studies student in the University of Bamenda has been kidnapped by unidentified men.

Claudia was kidnapped and taken to an unknown location on July 5 at about 6pm as she stepped out of her student hostel to buy food stuffs in Bambili.

News of her disappearance only broke out two days after when her kidnappers rang her family members.

The kidnappers are demanding the sum of 3 million FCFA as ransome, a family source hinted.

Claudia is an active student at University of Bamenda Voice, the university’s campus radio.

Students living in Bambili and elsewhere in the restive English speaking regions of Cameroon are faced with lots of challenges during this crisis.
