Several shops in Ta Mveh Goat Market, Kumbo, Bui Division in the North West Region have been reduced to ashes.
Reports say the military stormed the market early on Wednesday , March 29, 2023, in an attempt to fish out separatist fighters after a fierce confrontation from them.
“The Military entered Kumbo (Mbveh) at night in search of Amba Boys [Separatists], but encountered a fierce resistance from the the boys, as an RPG was fired into their hiding position with one Amoured car hit by a land mind,” a source revealed.
After fruitless efforts by the military, they put shops at Taa Mveh on fire, the source added.
It is alleged that one separatist fighter was shot in the leg due to the upheaval between government soldiers and separatists forces.
Meantime, the casualty on the military side remains unknown.
