Gunmen alleged to be separatist fighters have killed five youths in Akwaya town, Manyu division in the South West region.
ARREYB media has confirmed from sources around the area that armed men broke into a small shop on April 19, 2020 at about 8pm and killed all five persons that were at the spot.
“They just ambushed the store and killed everybody that was there,” a source who preferred to remain anonymous for security reasons said
The victims names we got as Ako Festus, Okana Algerbetus, Ekah Estella, Tamfu and (DJ) all below the ages of 25.
At the moment of this report, no reason has been advanced for their killing, as both separatist fighters and government authorities in the locality have not claimed responsibility.
Tuesday 19 April’s incident is said to have left the entire Akwaya town in shock. Two of the victims are from the same family.
