Within 24 hours, 40 people have died of covid-19 pandemic in Cameroon
As of May 7, 2020, 2,267 Covid-19 cases have been reported in Cameroon, 1,002 recoveries and 108 deaths.
Reacting to the outbreak, member of Parliament Honrobale Nourane Foster accused the governmemt of delaying a response to her request to act in the fight against Coronavirus in Cameroon.
“A request for authorization submitted 30 days ago by a member of Parliament has remained unanswered and is a SCANDAL! How do you want us to be Republicans if you can’t be objective workers too?” Nourane questioned in a Facebook post

Some days ago Prime minister Dion Ngute announced recent measures including the opening of bars with the prerogative that customers observe social distancing and wear face masks, the lifting of orders for mandatory number of passengers per taxi and the suspension of general accounting audits.
But Covid-19 figures revealed by France trade advisers are different from those revealed by the Ministry of Public Health.
During the second month of the outbreak, health minister said on April 25, 2020, positive cases were 1,621 and 786 cured.
But the reports by France’s foreign trade advisers affirm that there were 1,396 confirmed cases with 350 deaths

As of May 2, 2020, 1,832 Covid-19 cases have been reported in Cameroon, 934 recoveries and 61 deaths.

“Archbishop Samuel Kleda has discovered a cure to Coronavirus and has cured several patients in Cameroon”, multiple and viral posts have suggested on social media.
It is reported that the Cameroonian clergy, Archbishop of the Douala Metropolitan Archdiocese, Samuel Kleda reportedly produced a concoction of plants which cure Coronavirus.
Relating to news that the Bishop cures this disease, Politician and former presidential candidate Kah Walla has said the drugs are real but the Bishop doesn’t claim to cure Coronavirus
