MINDEF Says Separatists Killed 32 In Ballin

“The  Ballin massacre in Akwaya,  Southwest region which caused at least 32 deaths was carried out by separatist fighters” Atonfack Cyrille Serge says.

A release signed by Atonfack Serge, head of communication at the ministry of defense, reveals that around a hundred heavily armed assailants broke into the home of an elected representative of the nation, Honourable Aka Martin, opened fire and retreated after the intervention of the regular army

“Divided in many groups, separatist attacked the village and killed at least 32 civilian” army spokesman said adding that “4 separatists were neutralised and many who are on the run were injured”

Civilians injured during the attack have been taken to the hospital and are gradually recovering.

The ministry of defense however addresses its sincere condolences to the bereaved and assure the villagers that soldiers are on high alert
