Hundreds of youths who served as security guards and stewards during the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon have been protesting in Douala.
More than 400 among the youths have peacefully demonstrated with banners in front of Littoral Governor’s office, demanding for the payment of their renumeration as promised.
Report says the youths were given deaf ears and fired teargas by police officers to forcefully leave the place.
Close to two months after working with the sports body, AFCON, the youths have said they are yet to receive what was entitled for them.
Though one of them allegedly said that CAF already disbursed their money, information we are still to confirm.
