Burkina Faso: French Media Le Monde suspended

According to a release on December 2, 2023, Burkina Faso’s transitional government has suspended the broadcast of the French media Le Monde.

The decision is to take effect immediately.
The media is accused of treating an article on the massive attack which targeted the town of Djibo in the north of the country a few days ago in a bias manner.

The French media outlet’s suspension comes after RFI, France 24 and Libération were suspended in Burkina Faso earlier.
