Separatist fighters have caused sacrilege in Baligham, a village in Santa subdivision, North West region.
Report says the fighters stormed the market in broad daylight on Sunday November 14, sent traders away and raised parts of the market to ashes.
According to eye witnesses, the fighters later went and set fire on the palace, which spreaded to some houses around, as they later fired gun shots before leaving.
Circumstances surrounding the act can not be fished out by the population, but a witness told us that a particular shop at the market was noted for selling Brasserie products, which was their target.
The act has rendered some inhabitants of the village homeless, others have lost all what they had in their shops, while a section of the palace is down.
