Gunmen have killed Shey Janet, a health worker of Cameroon Baptist Convention and injured another one in Bamenda.
Report says the incident occurred Saturday February 26, when they were returning from field work in Bali.
Eye witnesses said gunmen opened fire on their vehicle around a military checkpoint, killing Shey Janet on the spot while one other person was injured.
As of now, the reason behind the act is still unknown, as no party has claimed responsibility for the incident.
The victim is receiving treatment at a hospital, while the corpse of Shey Janet has been deposited at a mortuary.
This is not the first time that health workers are being targeted in the restive North West and South West regions.
