Nigeria: New President Pledges To Fight Unemployment, Insecurity

Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been inaugurated as Nigeria’s 16th President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

The installation ceremony held this Monday, May 29, 2023, at the Eagle Square in Abuja.

The 71 year-old pledged to fight corruption, inflation, joblessness, insecurity and promote economic growth in the country.

The event marked the presence of some African Leaders and notables. Tinubu’s deputy, Kashim Shettima, was also sworn in during the installation.
