A day after her lawyer declares she was attacked and her vehicle damaged, the Gendarmerie has been ordered to assure Diane Zogo, the widow of murdered radio host, Martinez Zogo is protected.
Equinoxe television reported that prior to Diane’s request for protection from the State Secretariat of Defense for the Gendarmerie, the Gendarmerie has be charged to ensure her safety.
On Monday 20th February, 2023, her family lawyer, Calvin Job told Journalist at a press conference in Yaounde that two weeks ago, Diane Zogo was being monitored by unidentified men who ended up destroying the windscreen of her vehicle.
Reports say Gendarmes have been instructed to monitor her compound and neighborhood to ensure her protection.
Following her husband’s kidnap and brutal murder, there have been nationwide and international appeals for justice that has led to the mass arrest of top ranking people, suspected of the gruesome act.
Earlier this week, just like Diane Zogo, Equinoxe journalist Guy Zogo also hinted that his life is unsecured following several death threats he has been receiving for his continuous reporting on the issue.
