Covid-19 In Cameroon: Gov’t Manufactures 5,000,000 Chloroquine Tablets

To fight against Covid-19, the minister of scientific and technical research, Madeleine Tchuente has said her ministry has manufactured 5 million Chloroquine tablets and 2.5 million Azithromycine tablets.

She made the declaration during a video conference chaired by the prime minister Dion Ngute

It should be noted that on April 2, Madeleine Tchuente said her ministry was capable of manufacturing more than 6,000 chloroquine tablets in a minute

Though some Cameroonians argued. Critics claimed Cameroon has been importing most of its drugs for years now.

The minister said the drugs are intended to fight the spread of Coronavirus in Cameroon.

According to last updates, Cameroon counts 17,586 positive cases, 15,996 recoveries and 396 deaths.
