CHAN2020: 13 DR Congo Players Test Positive For Covid-19 But Team Denies Results, They Want Private Tests Away From Gov’t

If their tests are truly positive, this may imply the team won't be allowed to play the match, consequently pushing the Cameroonian team to the next stage of the competition

13 DR Congo players have tested positive for Covid-19, barely 24 hours to face Cameroon in the quarter finals of the ongoing CHAN2020

But Congo’s team has said they don’t believe the results, they’re opting to take a fresh test in a private clinic

If their tests are truly positive, this may imply the team won’t be allowed to play the match, consequently pushing the Cameroonian team to the next stage of the competition

News of their tests broke out on Friday January 29, less than 48 hours to their match with the Cameroon national team which is expected to be a knockout game

The team is demanding new tests for their players.

This is happening after their head coach just recovered from the virus.
