The new UK high commissioner to Cameroon, Christian Dennys-McClure has posted to thank Queen Elizabeth for appointing him to work in Cameroon
Dennys-McClure’s first appreciation post was written in pidgin English, a move which many say is a way to connect with the Cameroonian people and a sign he’s coming to relate and work together
Christian Dennys-McClure replaces H.E. Rowan Laxton and will fully take up his appointment in April 2021
Presently, he serves at the Cabinet Secretariat as Head of Conflict, Stability and Security Fund(CSSF).
His appointment comes at the time when the Anglophone crisis continues to rock Cameroon and many are waiting to see his moves in furthering peace talks from an international perspective
