Killing Of Ambazonia Generals: Yerima Vows to Reactivate Gun Battles

Reacting to the killing of senior Ambazonia commanders; including Generals Chacha and Efang, the Southern Cameroons Interim Government has promised to reactivate attacks against Cameroon military troops.

In a telephone conversation, vice president Dabney Yerima said they were reactivating attacks against French Cameroun forces on ‘their land’.

The exiled diaspora leader said the recent killings of commanders illustrate need for separatist factions to reunite and reactivate gun resistance against the Biya forces.

Yerima slammed Minister Paul Atanga Nji and his ‘sponsored militia’ for atrocities going on in the Anglophone regions, adding that “the military carries out daily arrests against Ambazonia activists and militants, together with a continues genocidal campaign”

This comes three days after separatists bid ‘adieu’ to dreaded general, Cha Cha and 2 others who were killed in a late-night military attack.

The invasion came at 2am on January 26, 2020. He was captured, tied to a military vehicle and dragged to death.

For three years now, the Biya regime has used military reaction to separatist fighters who reacted by picking up arms in late 2017.

This also includes the launch of a renewed battle by President Paul Bya in his new year’s speech to the nation ahead of the 2020 parliamentary and legislative elections of February 9.

Both camps have refused to come to a compromise which has led to constant daily gun battles, attacks and wars in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon. So far, at least 3,000 people have been killed
