The Minister of Communication, Rene Emmanuel Sadi, in a statement on Thursday, February 23, assured that the government is doing everything in it’s might to secure justice for murdered radio host , Martinez Zogo.
Minister Rene Sadi said “By reiterating the condemnation of this assassination unequivocally and with the greatest firmness, the Government of the Republic intends to reassure national and international opinion, as to its determination to do everything possible to shed light on this affair, and let justice be served.”
Earlier this month, there were positive reactions following the arrest of several people in relation to the case.
However, during the early hours of Friday, February 24, 2023,
there was a a little upheaval at the Yaoundé Military Court.
Reports say at about 1:55am , Amougou Belinga, and at least 20 other suspects apprehended in relation to Martinez Zogo’s murder returned to SED after spending more than 10 hours at the Yaounde military court.
The suspects left without meeting the government commissioner (military court prosecutor) and will have to do on February 25. The last 24 hours have been tense as the search for justice continuous.
