ECOWAS Pursues Military Course Of Action, Invites Chiefs Of Staff To Ghana

The military chiefs of the sub-region have been invited to a conference in Accra, Ghana.

This comes just one day after the special ECOWAS Heads of State summit in Abuja, which was organised to assess the situation in Niger.

The primary aim of the meeting scheduled for this coming Saturday, August 12, is to “activate and deploy the standby force,” which is necessary to restore Niger’s constitution order.
