DR Congo Sues Cameroon, After Knockout

Few days after their elimination from CHAN by Cameroon, the Congolese football Association (FECOFA) has sued Cameroon against poor treatments and malpractice.

According to footrdc, the Congolese football governing body has submitted a complaint file to CAF and FIFA, saying they were treated inhumanly by Cameroon.

Reports say their aim is for FIFA and CAF to sanction Cameroon, by possibly taking away Cameroons’ hosting rights of AFCON come 2022.

On Saturday January 30, about 13 DR Congo Players including their head coach were declared covid-19 positive when they were about to face Cameroon at the quarter finals.

Another test was later on carried with instructions from CAF, where only three amongst the players tested positive.

DR Congo blamed Cameroonian medical practitioners who conducted the first test, saying the results weakened their spirit and they lost the match.

The government of Cameroon and FECAFOOT is yet to say a word on the whole issue.
