A lecturer at the University of Buea by name Dr. Beatrice Titanji, has been awarded woman of the year in Buea
Her recognition as Woman of the Year came amid celebrations of the 38th edition of the International Women’s Day which took place on March 8, 2023.
Speaking to the press she said “It’s just a humbling experience and it tells me that when you do good work, somebody somewhere is seeing, and that you need to continue.”
Dr Beatrice currently works at the University of Buea as a lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Effective Communication.
She is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Women’s Guild for Empowerment and Development (WOGED).
