Yaounde: Mfoundi SDO Issues Ban On Taxis With Slightly Coloured Windows




Taxis with even the slightest hint of tinted windows are prohibited by a decisive order from Djikdent Emmanuel Mariel, the Senior Divisional Officer of Mfoundi.

This information was contained in a press release signed by the SDO dated August 2, 2023.

“Taxis with tinted windows are prohibited from hitting the streets,” the SDO stated.

Notably, the SDO urged car drivers and the leaders of urban transport unions to heed the warning about door number inspections, which would be fully implemented starting on September 15, 2023.

“For this purpose, we urge taxi drivers and owners to liaise with local councils for the customary formalities,” he added
