The Atlas Lions of Morocco have been crowned winners of African Nations Championship,CHAN2020 which took place in Cameroon.
They trashed the Eagles of Mali by 2-0 on February 7 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé in the finals.
Soufiane Bouftini’s 69 minute goal and Ayoub El Kaabi’s 79 minute goal gave the Atlas Lions a place to be the only country to have won the trophy two times in a row.
Morocco scored a total of 15 goals in the tournament, conceding just 3. They also produced the best goalkeeper and highest goal scorer.
The next edition of CHAN has been scheduled to take place in Algeria in 2022.
