Tiko Gets Her First Higher Institute – The University Of Tiko

Tiko, a town and port located in South West region of Cameroon now has her first higher institute – The University Of Tiko endorsed by Cameroon’s ministry of higher education.

Officials of The University of Tiko operating under the name Life Trust Professional Institute of Competence have set orientation to begin on Friday October 25, 2019 and few spaces are still open.

They offer courses in the department of :

  • Business Management
  • Biomedical science
  • Civil engineering
  • Information technology speciality
  • Department of education
  • Department Of Arts

Life Trust Professional Institute of Competence will operate university studies alongside vocational training programmes with diplomas in:

  • Film Making (with specialisation in producing, directing, cinematography, photography, editing and sound design)
  • Fashion Designing
  • Modelling
  • Hair and Beauty Therapy (skin care, hair dressing, massage, pedicure and manicure)
  • Interior Design and Decoration
  • Hospitality Management
  • Other management disciplines

Both University and vocational programmes will offer certificates backed by the ministry of Higher education and ministry of employment and vocational training respectively.

University registration accepts advanced level holders or any other equivalence while Vocational training accepts a minimum qualification of ordinary level or any other equivalence.

Registration is ongoing ! The school is accepting just 25 students per course and would offer 50% discount to the first 50 registered students for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Life Trust Professional Institute Of Competence is located at Longstreet Tiko, directly opposite the grandstand.

The office is open from 8am to 4pm on working days and 8am to noon on Saturdays.
