Ghana’s overall best teacher for 2017 surprisingly is a Primary 1 instructor named Madam Faustina Cobson.
She was awarded the national best teacher during World Teachers Day commemorated all over the world.
Ghana state media reports that the 41-year-old is a teacher at the Richard Aquaye Memorial School, located in a suburb of the capital, Accra.
As part of her prize, she was given a three bedroom house plus a cash sum of 50,000 cedis and a life insurance package.
Madam Faustina has expressed much joy in winning to be handpicked from the primary level.
The first runner-up went to another female who teaches in the Volta region of the country. She also got a cash prize of 110,000 and a life insurance while the second runner-up went to Joseph Agbotsa who got a car plus 20,000 cedis and life insurance cover.
