Yaoundé: Stampede At Comedy Event Kills 4

Four pupils of Government Primary School Group 3, Ekoudou are reported dead in a recent stampede yesterday March 21st, 2018.

State media, CRTV reports that the deceased pupils comprised of two boys and two girls: Moustapha Ali, Baba Ibrahim, Zenabou Oumarou and Fortune Wandji.

They were amongst a group of children who struggled to gain access into an organized comedy show on campus. Apart from them, a few others were injured in the process.

After an organized emergency meeting, Cameroon’s Basic Education minister, Youssouf Hadjidja has suspended all classes on the campus pending investigations while those affected are currently receiving medical attention.
