Four Women Arrested For Producing Fake Bank Notes in Souza

A gang of four women who allegedly specialise in the forging and injection of fake bank notes have been apprehended by the Public Security Police in the Moungo Division of the Littoral region.

The four women identified as Ateme Belogo Genevieve, Djoukoua Nicole, and Bedjeu Annabelle, including their gang leader known as Fotieo Etienne Baudelaire were caught after counterfeiting the new FCFA 10,000, 5,000, and 2,000 bank notes.

They were presented to the public on Saturday, September 16, 2023, with the sum of FCFA 30 million fake notes in their possession.

Clothes and an automatic pistol were also found in their keeping.

The four suspects were apprehended thanks to the timely alert from some  traders in the Souza market.

However, Security forces stated that two of the gang members are on the run and everything is being done to fish out them.
