The corpse of a missing 15-year-old has been discovered buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of her 23 year-old boyfriend in Cyferskuil, North West, on March 8, 2023, by South African police.
Karabo Monyama, 15, supposedly went missing on March 5 after leaving home to watch soccer at a nearby field but never came back.
Police spokesperson Lt-Col Amanda Funani, who confirmed the development in a statement, said the body of the teenager was discovered on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
On the day Karabo’s body was discovered, her boyfriend was taken into custody and charged with murder, perjury, and thwarting the course of justice.
The perpetrator is expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 10 March 2023.” a statement read.
