Mpena Mikelle was stabbed to death by theives on Wednesday January 27
She was a third year Biochemistry student of the University of Yaounde 1, Ngoa-Ekelle
Her attackers, meeting her on her way back from school, repeatedly stabbed her on the neck as she screamed for help
Inhabitants, alerted by her loud cry, rushed to the scene to see her bleeding.
Mikelle, witnesses said, was rushed to the nearest hospital, not far from the campus, but she later died due numerous injuries
It was a night attack, she was stabbed at about 8pm as she returned from an evening lesson in school
It is not clear if the attackers made away with any valuables from the girl
The stabbing is the second in a row, both occurring within a month in Cameroon’s capital Yaounde
