3 Arrested After xaf 85 Million Goes Missing In Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril’s Home
In relation to over 85 million FCFA which was stolen in his resistance in Tokombéré, Far North Region of Cameroon, The speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has ordered the arrest of three suspects.
The money was stolen on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 and reports have it that Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, showed up himself to make the claim at the gendarmerie brigade of Tokombéré.
Amongst the three suspects arrested is Valet, the younger brother of Cavaye Yeguie Djibril and a notable from the Mada chiefdom headed by Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.
“The notable was however heard by the gendarmerie brigade and then released according to our information. The other two would still be guarded by the gendarmes,” a source revealed.
Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has been the President of the National Assembly 30 years since 1992. The incident has raised eyebrows concerning the stack of cash in the home of a government official.
