24-year-Old Girl’s Identified At Limbe Mortuary One Month After Disappearance

The corpse of a 24-year-old girl who went missing about a month ago has been discovered at Limbe mortuary.

Information gathered says Assaba Velma Newah’s remains was confirmed by her family members on Friday, April 7, 2023, at the mortuary.

The corpse of the Assaba was spotted by the mortuary attendant who came across Velma’s picture and details posted on Mimi Mefo Info Facebook page.

One of her relatives then hinted that she was knocked down by a camion thesame night she got missing at Church Street, Limbe, at about 10pm.

Assaba went missing on March 9. In an attempt to track her phone, the police told her family she was in Limbe but, her exact location could not be traced.

It is reported that unknown persons carried her remains to the Limbe Regional Hospital mortuary after the tragic incident.
