Anglophone crisis: Abducted Chief Freed After Nearly Two Years In Captivity



The Fon of Bambalang, Yakum Kevin Teuvih has been set free after being kidnapped by Separatist fighters.

He was freed on Thursday, June 1 after being abducted in December 2021.

While talking to the press in Bamenda, Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique congratulated the joint efforts of the defense forces and the population.

The Governor also said that the act was a sign of the return to peace in that part of the country and encouraged the people to keep collaborating with military officers.

The Fon’s kidnapping is one of the several cases that have occured in the course of the Anglophone crisis.
