30 million franc is said to be the overall budge following the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the University of Buea,
Slated for May 25-27, the celebration will take place under the theme, “University of Buea: Impacting The Future Through Innovative Solutions.”
According to the University administration, some 30,000 participants are expected at the occasion.
Also, the event is expected to witness the presence of professors, current students, business persons among others invitees.
Awards will be giving to outstanding personalities who have contributed to the UB community since it’s existence.
The anniversary celebration will include sporting activities, an alumni seminar and future UB projects.
UB is cameroon’s first Anglo-Saxon university created in 1992 by presidential decree.
With Prof Horace Ngomo Manga as current Vice Chancellor, the University of Buea comprises of over 8 Faculties, 50 departments including two schools and colleges.
