Following a gas bottle explosion in a hotel training institute on Wednesday, February 7, in Ndongbong, Douala V, 18 students have been injured with serious burns.
Reports say the incident happened while the students were preparing for practicals and the gas bottle which exploded was an expired gas bottle.
The victims were rapidly taken to the Douala General Hospital for intensive medical care.
Twelve of the victims are women while six are men aged between 16 and 30 years.
The Governor of the Littoral region, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua answered present to take stock of the situation.
