Two persons are reported dead in a fire outrage which occurred at Checkpoint in Buea
The February 8 outrage killed two; an elderly woman named Rebecca and a boy named Maxil.
Maxil, an inhabitant said was a 9 year old school kid, the fire probably caught both of them off guard
It is not clear how the fire started but observers say it should have started from a naked electrical appliance which triggered while inhabitants were asleep
It took several hours to contain the fire with the help of some godwill inhabitants and military who later appeared at the scene
The incident which happened opposite the Molyko stadium is the second outrage to occur in Buea within 30 days
On January 15, 2021, another fire outbreak occurred at Street 7 in Buea
