An initial autopsy carried out at the Yaounde General Hospital on Sunday after Zogo’s body was discovered that morning in a state of decomposition revealed signs of electrocution after being tortured.
This was revealed by Paul Daizy Bia, a Yaounde-based journalist who wrote on his Facebook page “We stayed posted for hours to hear from a family member that: Martinez Zogo has a broken foot, bruised fingers, he received electrical discharges, they made him eat his excrements, the tongue was not in it’s normal position”.
There have been several decries of the heinous killing of Martinez Zogo. It should be noted that his body was discovered in the Soa neighbourhood in Yaounde on Sunday, January 22, less than five days after he was abducted.
