Breaking! BIR Soldiers Free CPDM Senator Regina Mundi

Senator Regina Mundi has regained her freedom

CPDM Senator Regina Mundi has been freed from the hands of Ambazonian fighters by elements of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, BIR.

According to colonel Atonfack Cyrille, Head of Communication in the Ministry of defense, Regina Mundi was rescued May 30 in Batibo during a military operation.

He added that the senator was rescued together with her vehicle and other civilians who were in separatist’s custody.

Kidnapped on April 30 around Foncha junction in Bamenda, Mundi has spent exactly one month in the hands of her kidnappers.

She was once forced to accept to be an Ambazonian by reading a declaration in a video that was widely shared on social media.

The news about her freedom is a call for celebration to her family members, as they didn’t believe she was still alive considering how another senator, Kemende was recently killed.
