Zamga village along the Nigerian- Cameroon borders has been attacked by a female suicide bomber on Tuesday night.
AFP reports that the girl walked into a group of children who were playing and triggered her safety charge.
“Five children were killed and two others wounded”, a source reports adding that the bomber was also killed in the blast.
Zamga village is just two kilometers (1.2 miles) away from the Nigerian border and like other areas, has suffered from a Boko Haram invasion.
This comes few days after a recent Sunday attack on the borders that saw the killing of about 20 persons. The terrorist group has killed over 2,000 civilians and soldiers with several abductions recorded.
An estimated number of 20,000 people have been affected by their activities in Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger and Chad.
