National Dialogue : Fako Ambazonia Fighters Want To Attend Via Phone Conference Call
Ambazonia fighters in Fako Division of the South West region have said they will attend the grand national dialogue scheduled for September 29 to October 4, 2019.
In a report published by Journal Du Cameroun, separatist fighters have entered a commitment to partake in the national dialogue primarily aimed at seeking solutions to the Anglophone crisis through a telephone conference call.
They fear their safety is not guaranteed all through the conference.
The commitment was made shortly after a conference by Fako Traditional Rulers which channeled certain proposals to the Governor of the South West region.
While PM Dion Ngute has been holding consultative meetings to receive proposals from all delegations ahead of the national event, there has been the growth of varying thoughts; if the dialogue will actually meet its target in solving the Cameroon anglophone crisis.
A document naming over 28 “Ambazonia” Military Generals had objected President Biya’s call for dialogue in his September 10, 2019 speech.
In the communique, the Ambazonia military Forces’ Council of Generals (AMF High Command) said they will intensify the struggle and called on the citizens in the Anglophone regions to be vigilant.
They asked the President to withdraw the military from the North West and South West regions and also advocated for the release of Sisiku Ayuk and 9 others arrested in Nigeria but sentenced to life imprisonment in Cameroon.
